MODULE 01 · LESSON 1.4

Repair, inclusion and youth participation

Youth organisations face real challenges: in rural areas young people leave, services close, and those with fewer opportunities are hardest to reach. A Repair Café works differently — it is a real problem on the table, not a lesson. Pair a newcomer with a patient fixer, give them a real task, and offer real roles: welcome desk, fixer, photographer, host. Repair becomes a civic tool: young people serve their neighbours and meet other generations. WeRepair for Youth is one of the first Erasmus+ projects to use hands-on repair as a method for youth work, starting with training youth workers in rural municipalities.
