MODULE 01 · LESSON 1.6

From Repair Café to a European repair community

One Repair Café is a spark; a community keeps it burning. Locally, that means a club: a name, a fixed date, rotating roles and a repair log that keeps growing — and valuing the know-how of older neighbours. But a table can be longer than a village. WeRepair connects FabLabs in Portugal, France and Spain through the Vulca network of makerspaces, and at the Vulca Seminar in Cuenca (November 2026) proposes a European working group on repair, WE_REPAIR_EU. It is part of a wider European repair movement: the Right to Repair and the European Green Deal's goal of a circular economy.
