Introduction to soldering

Soldering is gluing with metal. Glasses on, fresh air, iron always back in its stand. Tin the tip, heat pad and leg together, feed the solder to the joint, then remove the solder and finally the iron. A good joint is a small shiny volcano; learn to spot cold joints, blobs and bridges — and slide the heat-shrink on before you solder.
