Troubleshooting electronics — power supply + connections

Most ‘dead’ devices aren’t dead: it’s power or a connection. Swap the charger and cable one at a time, find broken cables with the wiggle test near the plug, clean lint out of ports with wood or plastic, and look inside for cracked joints at sockets and loose connectors — then reflow, retest and log.
